About Me

My work aims to find a medium that explores both precision/ geometric structure, and organic flow. Embracing technology throughout my process, I aim to bridge the gap between precise machinery and human intervention/flaw. My work uses a variety of colors that are rich in value while often being muted in tone. I hope to give the eyes a break from the vivid colors of screens and the modern world.

Technological advancement is indisputably the way forward for humanity. Rather than concern for tradition: I aim to understand and utilize technology as an uncompromising tool

My Paintings can be broken into two main Categories

Structured:

Geometrically focused abstract paintings often with striking colors and a focus on with true symmetry or intentional balance through asymmetry.  My structured works are highly planned, prepared, and executed. Much of my work references digital media, from User interfaces, video game characters, and nods towards other digital assets.

Organic:

My organic works, while sometimes incorporating structured aspects, focus on the humanity of improvisation. A kitchen sink of materials from medium of paint, markers, graphite, crayons, collage, etc. and a creative freedom only possible through unplanned creation.

Having a background in advertising as well as print production has allowed me a unique perspective and fascination towards corporate art and design. Realizing the artistry in mass messaging, and internal branding I hope to incorporate positive aspects such as a focus on optimization, efficiency, and consistency. While keeping in mind a strong internal critique for both capitalism and its potential for complacency, unremarkability, and othering. I hope to bring my artistic vision into the corporate world. I believe that in a world so inescapable from advertising, it is the advertisers responsibility to make their message one worth seeing- artistful, meaningful, and in turn impactful. A deviation from a traditional utilitarian approach of dissemination.
